Jereed` is a competitive javelin game of horsemen played on horseback between two opposing teams. The players try to hit their opponents by throwing a wooden javelin. When a player hits one of the other horsemen, he gains a point. It is a part of entertainment that generally takes place during wedding ceremonies in villages. In the spring, horsemen wearing uniforms hold games for public performance.
