INTERNATIONAL SPORTS COMPETITIONS IN TURKEY
Sports in Turkey have developed drastically in the recent years. The main reason for this developement is the intense interest Turkish people show in nearly every branch of sport. As an outcome of the aforementioned developement, Turkey is now playing an active role in sports as a country; both at participating in and hosting competitions. Turkey is also an ideal place for football teams to spend their camps and prepare for their national leagues.

Another branch that is in progress is golf. As the facilities in Turkey, especially in Belek, develop and reach international standards; more national and international golf competitions are organized in Turkey. Lastly, we want to mention the great interest in athletics. As a natural outcome of this interest; Turkish athletes have been receiving medals in both continental competitions and world olympics.
