Kayseri-Erciyes

Kayseri Erciyes Mountain

Erciyes Dağı, the highest peak of the Central Anatolia rises at 25 km. south of Kayseri and is 3916 meters high. The peak of the mountain, an extinct volcano, is covered with stable snow at every season of the year. The skiing resort is at the Tekir Plateau which is at the northern slopes of the mountain. Erciyes is one of the most important mountains of the country for mountaineering sports as well as being an elite skiing resort.
