GÜL CAMII (Rose Mosque):  During Byzantine period this was “Ayia Teodosia” Church, after the Turkish conquest had been converted into a mosque. The original building dates from 10th/11th century. It has been renovated many times during the Ottoman times but still preserves the original aspects.

FENER RUM ORTODOKS PATRIKHANESI VE AYA YORGI PATRIKHANE KILISESI

(Greek Orthodox Patriarchate and the “Hagia Yorgiu” Church of the Patriarchate): The Patriarchate has been moved to this place on 1601, and has been newly restored on 1989 In the Church there are centruies old valuables belonging to Greek community.

SVETI STEFAN BULGAR ORTODOKS KILISESI (Bulgarian Church): Neo Gothic cast iron Church. There is no other example within Turkish borders. All inside and outside parts have produced in a factory in Vienna and shipped via Danube River to Black Sea then to Golden Horn. All puzzle pieces have been built together on site.

EYÜP SULTAN CAMII (Eyub Sultan Mosque):  Ebu Eyyub Ensari, was The Prophet Mohamed's standard bearer. He was killed during the first Arab siege of the city (674-78) and he was buried here and weel preserved according the peace treaty following the the siege.Therefore it is one of the Holy Mosques for Muslim World. Ottoman Sultans had their investiture ceremonies in this complex.

Lunch will be taken in Mihmandar Restaurant situated in an old Medrese in Eyup district.

Lunch fee is inclusive of the tour rate.

KARIYE CAMII MÜZESI (Chora Church & Mosque Museum): When first built at the beginning of 6th century it was situated outside of the city walls. This great Byzantine Church has been rebuilt and added georgius mosaics and frescoes during the 14th century. It was converted to a mosque on 1511 but the mosaics and frescoes were protected very well. By Ataturk's order at 1935, it opened to public as one one finest Byzantine art museums of Turkey and the world.

PIYER LOTI (Pierre Loti Cafe): A Golden Horn coffee house from 19th centrury. French traveller and poet Pierre Loti has become an Istanbul addict looking at Istanbul from that point. It has been newly renovated and become again a lovers meeting point. What you will see from that angle will amaze you. We will end our tour in Piere Loti Cafe. If you wish you may continue to stay until late evening or return back to Taksim Square with our guide.

Departure front of Ataturk Kultur Merkezi, Taksim: 09.00
Return back to Taksim Square: 17.00

Please put warm clothes, insides buildings are quite cold, and please wear walking shoes and don't forget your camera. And ladies please bring scarves for holy places visits.

TOUR RATE :150,00 TL per person. Price covers lunch, transportation, guidance, parking and entrance fees. All drinks during lunch or at the coffee house and tips are exclusive of the tour rate.
