THE CYCLAMEN AND WILD FLOWERS
(BULBOUS PLANTS) TOUR TO WESTERN TURKEY
(10 Days - 9 Nights)

Day 1: Istanbul (D)

Our guide meets and greets you at the International Atatürk Airport. Transfer and check-in your hotel. Group welcome drink and dinner in the hotel.

Day 2: İnegöl (BLD)

After breakfast we cross the Sea of Marmara by a ferryboat to Bandırma and drive to İnegöl. We will visit a few locations of Cyclamen intaminatum.

Day 3: Afyon (BLD)

This morning we will drive around Bilecik, Eskişehir and Kütahya provinces for cyclamen intaminatum and spend the whole day in this region.

Cyclamen mirabile

Day 4: Antalya (BLD)

Drive to Eğirdir Gölü via Isparta for cyclamen mirable. Around Eğirdir Gölü, Cyclamen cilicicum populations can also be seen. The area is also famous for it's richness in the amount of bulbous plants.

Day 5: Antalya (BLD)

Our first stop this morning is the valley between Kemer and Gedelma villages located on the skirts of Tahtalı Mountains for it's Cyclamen graecum population. The last stop of the day will be Gedelma village for the endemic snowdrops specied that are found in the area.

Day 6: Marmaris (BLD)

Drive to Marmaris via Korkuteli and Fethiye. Near Fethiye many autumn flowering crocus species can be seen.

Day 7: Milas (BLD)

Cyclamen graecum

We will be visiting Bozburun and Datça peninsulas for three cyclamen species: Cyclamen graecum, Cyclamen hederifolium and Cyclamen persicum. Much of these two peninsulas is clothed with a mosaic of forest and maquis.

Day 8: Aydın (BLD)

We will drive to Çine for Cyclamen mirable populations. Çine is situated to the south of the lower reaches of the Büyük Menderes river. The area has a long history of human settlements. There are ruins of ancient cities such as Alinda, Euromos and Labyranda.

Day 9: İzmir (BLD)

Cyclamen persicum

Make a ring through Nazilli, Bozdoğan, Yatağan, Çine and Aydın for Cyclamen mirabile populations. The populations of this globally threatened species will be observed under Kermes oak and other deciduous oaks along this route.

Day 10: Fly back home (B)

we transfer you to the International Atatürk Airport.
